What is a VGA Extender?

A VGA Extender allows you to extend the distance between a VGA signal source such as a computer, and a VGA display device such as a TV, monitor or projector. These extenders consist of a Transmitter Unit and a Receiver Unit and use standard CAT5/6 network cabling in between.

What are VGA Extenders used for?

You would use a VGA extender if you wanted to extend the distance to your VGA display device or in situations where it is not practical to run a VGA cable through a wall cavitiy or small diameter conduit.
