SDI to HDMI Converter Provides Low Cost Alternative for Broadcasters
We
announced today the launch of our
3G SDI to HDMI Converter
that enables broadcast quality SDI signals to be displayed on HDMI equipped
HDTVs, monitors and projectors. This easy to use converter reduces overheads by
allowing for comparatively inexpensive screens to be used, whilst the
converter’s SDI pass-through feature still allows for an SDI compatible display
to be connected for simultaneous viewing, or for extending or recording the SDI
signal.
Although Grade-1 broadcast monitors are still the gold standard when absolute colour accuracy is required, in certain situations it’s not always necessary to use expensive displays when a relatively low cost HDMI screen would work equally as well. LINDY’s latest converter helps engineers find the balance between keeping within budget, whilst still delivering high quality broadcast video.
As an economical and reliable way of monitoring broadcast standard digital video on computer monitors the new LINDY convertor is a must. Not only does it cover the gamut of SD and HD-SDi signal formats for both audio and video, but at this price every engineer can have a spare in his tool bag!
The LINDY 3G SDI to HDMI Converter accepts SDI, HD-SDI and 3G SDI input signals and converts to an HDMI digital 1080p video signal. Easy to install, the converter is simply attached to the SDI source using a suitable BNC Co-Axial cable and then connected to the display device using an HDMI cable. A DVI-D display may also be used when connected with a suitable HDMI to DVI adapter or cable.
The converter supports SDI signal distances of up to 300m for SD, 200m for HD and 100m for 3G, though transmission distances may vary depending on the type of cable used.
The LINDY 3G SDI to HDMI Converter comes with a multi-country switching power adapter suitable for many countries including UK, Europe, US and Australia.
